National Entrepreneur Center Announces New Online Platform

The National Entrepreneur Center, headquartered in Orlando, Florida, (NEC) has partnered with New Jersey-based The Lonely Entrepreneur (TLE) to provide entrepreneurs with access to online business training, discussion forums, and other resources for starting or growing businesses. The NEC operates from a 21,000 sq. ft. the facility in Orlando that houses over a dozen non-profit business support organizations. Those organizations provide free business coaching and low-cost training events that serve thousands of entrepreneurs each year. TLE’s Learning Community extends that support to business owners that may need assistance but are unable to visit the center in person.

“This partnership leverages the established library of TLE’s online resources through the high-impact business network of the National Entrepreneur Center,” said Jerry Ross, President of the NEC. “This is a timely extension of our existing programs and gives entrepreneurs access to assistance, wherever they are, whenever they need it!”

The partnership comes as much of the US workforce continues working from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The two-year agreement establishes TLE as the long-term online partner for the NEC and expands the reach and impact of the NEC to entrepreneurs throughout Central Florida, and also those who have connected with the NEC’s social media platforms. An existing NEC sponsor has underwritten the cost to provide free access to the first 1000 users who register.

“With the need for entrepreneurs to progress, both during and after the economic shut-down, access to online knowledge and support is essential,” said Michael Dermer, founder, and CEO of The Lonely Entrepreneur. “The National Entrepreneur Center is a proven model of excellence that entrepreneurs trust. We are excited to work with the NEC to get these resources to entrepreneurs, especially at this critical time for small businesses.”

“The NEC is a successful and trusted model of economic impact for Central Florida. Entrepreneurs who may not be able to visit the NEC in person can access NEC-online for assistance”, said Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings. “Since 2003, the NEC has proven that community collaboration works and through this partnership business owners can now get assistance without having to leave their work location.”

Free access to National Entrepreneur Center Online is available to the first 1000 users at NationalEC.org/Online
